Overview

The HEF4060BT is a CMOS IC designed as a 14-stage binary counter with a built-in oscillator. And the oscillator equipped with three oscillator terminals (RS, REXT, and CEXT), as well as ten buffered parallel outputs (Q3 to Q9 and Q11 to Q13). Additionally, it features an overriding asynchronous master reset (MR). The oscillator configuration accommodates the design of RC or crystal oscillator circuits. Should an external clock signal replace the oscillator, the oscillator pins (REXT and CEXT) must remain floating. The counter progresses on the HIGH-to-LOW transition of RS. When a HIGH level is applied to MR, all counter stages are cleared, and all outputs are forced LOW, regardless of the other input conditions. It's worth noting that inputs come equipped with clamp diodes. HEF4060BT can be used as a counter, divider, or as a clock source for various digital applications.
